Remove restricted permission from an e-mail message

You can create e-mail messages with restricted permission using Information Rights Management only in Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 and Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.

If you are the original sender of a message with restricted permission, you can remove the restricted permission at a later time.

For example, if you have composed a message, restricted the permission for the message, and saved a draft, but later you change your mind and do not want permission restricted for the message, you can remove the restricted permission. You can also remove the restricted permission from a message you have already sent, but it will not affect the permission given to recipients when you originally sent the message.

  1. Open the message.
  2. On the E-mail toolbar, click Permission button image.
